Carlos Pomeda is back in Hong Kong in March 2010 for a full week end retreat.

Any of you who has studied through his Yoga Philosophy correspondance course or who has attended his lectures at the Asia Yoga Conference will know that Carlos teachings are invaluable (check www.pomeda.com for more on Carlos, his teachings, and his correspondence course).

The details for the retreat are below, there is a limited number of spaces available for this retreat (because we want everyone to fully benefit from the retreat and be able to have a direct contact with Carlos) which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

So this is the way it works:  if you are going to be in HK and want to attend, just click here to REGISTER first to book your space to be on the list. Then we’ll contact you for the next step.

A good idea: add the following email address to your white or allowed list helene@themastermindsgroup.com, so you do not miss any communication!

Cheers

The Ocean of Nectar:

An Immersion in the Vijnana-bhairava Tantra

“That state of the self is internal and filled with the bliss of one’s experience.

One who is established in any of these methods, what he experiences day after day is fulfilled, until he attains complete satisfaction”

Vijnana-bhairava 15, 148.

There is a treasure trove of meditation in the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism, and one of its greatest sources is the revealed text known as Vijnana-bhairava Tantra. In it, the Goddess plays the role of student and asks Shiva for instruction. The reply, however, does not come in the form of doctrines, but in the form of 112 methods of meditation. The message is clear: the ultimate answer to the deepest questions of life lies within.

In this weekend course, we will immerse ourselves in the nectarean ocean of meditative practices selected from this sublime text. As we progress through the various forms of meditation, the inner state becomes deeper and deeper, supported by our contemplation, analysis and discussions. If you’ve ever felt like immersing yourself in meditation but felt perhaps too busy for a prolonged retreat, this course is for you! It is designed particularly to deepen our understanding and experience of meditation, to shift our internal state and anchor it firmly in internal, blissful awareness. It will be a true banquet for the soul.

Because of the structure and nature of this course, attendance to both days is required. Open to all levels of experience in meditation.

Where: Yogamala in Wanchai (non-residential retreat)

Register HERE first, we’ll contact you for the next step

Who is Carlos?

With over 34 years of experience, Carlos Pomeda received formal, traditional training in yoga during almost 18 years as a monk of the Sarasvati order, 9 of which he spent in India, in the Siddha Yoga Ashram. During this time he learnt the various systems of Indian Philosophy and immersed himself in the practice of yoga.

He combines this traditional training with an academic background as well, having earned two Masters’ degrees: one in Sanskrit from UC Berkeley and another one, in Religious Studies, from UC Santa Barbara.

As a teacher, Carlos is known for his love of the Indian yoga traditions, his insight, his humor, his deep empathy with his audiences and his ability to convey the deepest scriptural teachings in a way that is clear, meaningful and applicable.

Studying with Carlos is a truly delightful and enlightening experience.
