Lion Dance

I was in Guangzhou and Foshan last week end for the opening of a branch of the 300 years old Hung Sing Gwoon (Kung Fu studio) — the original is in Foshan, in a 300 years old traditional Chinese house.

Hung Sing Gwoon — Foshan

The ceremony lasted the whole day until late at night. This is a video of a remarkable traditional lion dance performed on benches that you don’t see very often these days.

The man that sent this information is a computer tech.  He spends a lot of time clearing the junk off computers for people and listens to complaints about speed.  All forwards are not bad, just some.  Be sure you read the very last paragraph.

I just came across Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Address on Youtube. A 15mn video well worth watching especially at this time of the year:

Drawing from some of the most pivotal points in his life, Steve Jobs, chief executive officer and co-founder of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, urged graduates to pursue their dreams and see the opportunities in life’s setbacks — including death itself — at the university’s 114th Commencement on June 12, 2005.”
